This is something BIG!! You can tell by the sound that Black Magnet will turn ablaze the Industrial Metal scene with their abrasive style of hardcore goth enfused in evil heat. Perhaps they already have, and I can't wait to listen to their previous and further musical productions ahead. 🤘🏼🖤🔥🎛️🎚️🎧🎶💣
Favorite track: Desert Boots.
Black Magnet are the up and coming progenitors of the new wave of American industrial heavy metal, described by Revolver as “excoriating and texturally scalding brand of metallic machine music”. With two successful full length albums, “Hallucination Scene” and “Body Prophecy”, both under the 20 Buck Spin label, Black Magnet releases two new singles “Birth” and “Desert Boots” as their fall 2023 offerings. These new songs mark a significant shift as the band has evolved from a solo project to a full-fledged four-piece band.
Having earned recognition through placement on over 4,000 curated playlists, including Spotify Alternative Metal, PlayStation, Ghostmane, Revolver, Knotfest, and more, Black Magnet has shared the stage with notable acts such as Author and Punisher, Code Orange, Gatecreeper, and Twin Tribes during their multiple U.S. tours.
After the addition of a lead guitarist, live drums, and a synth player, the band is expanding from their synthetic industrial machine driven roots into new territories found in 90’s metal. With influences ranging from Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, and Alice in Chains, it’s clear Black Magnet play HEAVY guitar focused music with equal devotion to danceable industrial rhythms and intense electronic thunder. Notably, Black Magnet's lineup includes current and former members of Greg Puciato’s solo project (Federal Prisoner) and All Your Sisters (The Flenser).
